![]() This is a tremendous cyberpunk style story that had me gripped right from the start. Noa is going to get her dad back and find out what these guys are really up to. He was taken captive by the corporation, Monomind who basically runs the city and has a hand in everything that goes on, legal and illegal. We play as a feisty and cool hacker called Noa whose dad was doing research on digitized consciousness. I was pulled in when I saw the first cinematic trailer. The story that Jack Move is telling is fantastic. This was a truly remarkable experience and it is one of the better retro inspired, but modern JRPGs that I have played in a very, very long time. You may think I am going to complain that the game is short, but that is not the case at all. Thankfully, it came out on a weekend when I was completely free and I beat the game during that first weekend. Choosing which software to load during a battle is the key to victory! Hardware upgrades can help boost stats, increase the amount of software that can be installed, or give Noa extra abilities.When I heard that Jack Move was a cyberpunk JRPG I knew that this was a game I had to play. The game features beautifully animated turn-based battles, where players can customize the software of their Cyber Deck to switch roles mid-battle, balancing offense, defense, and buffs. The game's battle system is inspired by classic JRPGs such as Final Fantasy 7-10, Grandia, and Golden Sun, with a modern twist. The game's story is set in a world of murder, kidnapping, and dark research, where Noa has to fight against the corporation Monomind to save her father and the future of mankind itself. ![]() The game's protagonist is Noa, a vigilante hacker who is on a mission to find her missing father. It features modern pixel art, a unique turn-based battle system, and an 8 to 10-hour campaign.
